RETREAT: Visionary Veterans Campout
October 28th, Friday, 12pm
EVENT: Memorial Service
Rob Jacoby, former manager of the Hostel in the Forest from June, 2002 to July, 2003, passed away on Sep. 27th. Those who knew him loved him dearly. He was so very generous, such a pleasure to be around and will definitely be missed.
His wife, Danielle, was very kind to allow us to have some of his ashes and a lock of his hair. It is our plan to have a memorial service for him at the hostel, at which time we will bury the ashes and hair at an appropriate site with a marker. Anyone who would like to attend will be welcomed. Those in attendance will be asked to tell something about him only if you would like. If you can’t attend but would like to write something about him that you would like for Tom to read, please email it to manager at foresthostel ASAP.
October 31st, Monday
EVENT: Join us for an evening of Reverence and Reverie.
We will have our usual community dinner accompanied by drawing games, a labyrinth walk, hostel story sharing, and a playlist share and listening party for songs that best impart the feeling of the forest in us. Bring a sketchbook, a song, and a friend.
